Company Information

SubChem Sensor Systems was founded in Rhode Island during 1996 to meet a growing demand for submersible chemical analyzers for contemporary oceanographic, limnological, environmental and military applications. A primary goal of our company is to develop and introduce new and improved technology to the global environmental and oceanographic instrumentation markets - submersible chemical analyzers for water quality monitoring and underwater surveillance

SubChem Sensor Systems has completed development of, and now offers commercially, a series of compact submersible chemical analyzer, the SubChem Analyzers. The underlying designs for these instruments are based upon the successful prototypes developed by Dr. Alfred K. Hanson with NAVY (ONR) funding in 1994. The successful commercial development has been sponsored in part with funding awarded by the URI Ocean Technology Center, the RI Slater Center for Ocean Technology,  the RI Economic Development Corp, the NOAA CICEET Program, the Office of Naval Research, and the National Ocean Partnership Program.

These fully developed and tested technologies are now available for licensing and technology transfer.
